The chill still lingered, yet the footsteps moved forward. On January 24, 2026, the China-Latin America joint practice tour in Cili entered its third day. Members from the Tsinghua University Center for Latin American Studies, the "Rural Entrepreneurship +" program, the Cili Station of the Tsinghua University Rural Revitalization Workstation, as well as the Universidad del Pacífico in Peru and Minera Las Bambas S.A. continued to delve into the vibrant land of Cili. They visited Hunan Shenzhou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Zhangjiajie Jinfu Kaisheng Shoes Co., Ltd. successively, exploring two distinct industrial paths both leading to "poverty alleviation and income increase" — from the entire industrial chain of traditional Chinese medicine to the intelligent upgrading of labor-intensive industries.

On January 24, 2026, the China-Latin America joint practice tour in Gaochun drew to a close. Teachers and students from Tsinghua University, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the University of Chile visited rural revitalization practice sites and characteristic cultural tourism scenes in depth during the three-day joint study tour, gaining a systematic understanding of Gaochun's exploratory achievements in industrial development, ecological protection and cultural exchanges. Through on-site visits and continuous exchanges, Chinese and Chilean youth enhanced mutual understanding and friendship in the process of learning and living together. The itinerary on the closing day was not only a continuation of the research practice, but also a concentrated presentation of the phased achievements of this China-Latin America youth exchange.

On January 23, 2026, teachers and students from Tsinghua University and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil went to Nanjian, Yunnan for an in-depth study tour. Centered on the theme of Mutual Learning in Poverty Alleviation Practices, Youth Walking Hand in Hand, the Brazilian teachers and students visited Leqiu Photovoltaic Power Station and Tsinghua Rural Academy successively, and experienced the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) of Nanjian Tiaocai Dance. Through immersive visits and in-depth exchanges, they unlocked Nanjian's experience in county-level poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in China, deepened the consensus between Chinese and Latin American youth in the fields of energy security and characteristic industrial development, and injected youthful power into China-Latin America poverty alleviation cooperation.

On January 23, 2026, members from the Tsinghua University Latin American Center, the "Rural Entrepreneurship +" program, the Cili Station of the Tsinghua University Rural Revitalization Workstation, as well as the Universidad del Pacífico in Peru and Minera Las Bambas S.A. continued their in-depth study tour in Cili County, Hunan Province. Following the exploration of the characteristic agricultural product industrial chain on the first day, the itinerary on the second day focused on the innovative development of the culture and tourism industry.

On January 23, 2026, teachers and students from Tsinghua University, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the University of Chile embarked on the second phase of the China-Latin America joint practice trip in Gaochun. During the practice, Chinese and Chilean youth gained an in-depth understanding of Gaochun rural areas' exploration achievements in digital economy development and the integration of ecological culture and tourism through on-site visits and exchange research. They perceived the diverse vitality of local rural development through travels and dialogues, and further deepened cross-cultural exchanges and mutual understanding. Through on-site observations of Gaochun's rural poverty alleviation and revitalization practices, the teachers and students formed a more intuitive and in-depth understanding of the practical effects and sustainability of rural poverty alleviation paths.

On January 22, 2026, teachers and students from Tsinghua University and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil gathered in Nanjian Yi Autonomous County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, to jointly launch an on-site study tour focusing on Industrial Empowerment and Digital Health. Through on-site visits and exchanges in Nanjian's local tea industry, digital-enabled medical care and other fields, this activity allowed Latin American youth to experience the Nanjian model of China's rural revitalization in an immersive way, and also built a solid dialogue bridge for the mutual learning of poverty alleviation experiences between China and Latin America.

On the morning of January 22, 2026, the on-site research in China of Tsinghua University’s "China-Latin American Youth Responding to Global Challenges — 2025 Poverty Alleviation Challenge" and the 10th Session of the "Rural Entrepreneurship +" Innovation and Creativity Camp were grandly launched at the Zhangjiajie (Cili) Station of Tsinghua University Rural Revitalization Workstation in Hunan. Young students from Tsinghua University and Peru gathered with local government representatives, experts, scholars and enterprise representatives to hold an exchange meeting on "Resilient Rural Revitalization Service System and Public Space Activation", conduct in-depth exchanges and on-site investigations, and jointly explore innovative paths for poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

On January 22, 2026, the warm winter sun shone gently on the countryside of Gaochun District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, with black-tiled houses wrapped in a delicate fragrance under the clear winter sky. Members of the Nanjing Gaochun Team of Tsinghua University Rural Revitalization Workstation gathered here with Latin American teachers and students from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the University of Chile to experience the unique charm of China's folk intangible cultural heritage and embark on the journey of China-Latin America joint practice in Gaochun with full enthusiasm.

On January 21, 2026 (Beijing Time), the Exchange Meeting of the Rural Revitalization Workstation of the 2025 Poverty Alleviation Challenge was successfully held. Attendees included Chen Taotao, Professor of School of Economics & Management, Tsinghua University, Director of the Tsinghua University Latin American Center and Director of the Research Center for China-Latin America Management Studies, SEM, Tsinghua University; Hu Yuanyuan, Project Director of the Tsinghua University Rural Revitalization Workstation; Wang Yuefang, Director of China Relations Department of MMG Limited; Ran Hui, from the Health, Safety and Environment Department of MMG Limited; Hua Zhen, Translation Expert at Minera Las Bambas Copper Mine; Nifta Lau Ibarias, Research Fellow of the China and Asia-Pacific Research Center at the Universidad del Pacífico in Peru, as well as all teachers and students of the Peruvian Team. The meeting conducted in-depth discussions on core topics such as rural revitalization practices, corporate participation in poverty alleviation, and youth exchange mechanisms.

On January 21, 2026, a delegation of teachers and students from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in Brazil visited Envision Group for enterprise visits and exchange activities. The event aimed to further deepen Brazilian youth's understanding of outstanding Chinese enterprises, build a high-level exchange platform for green technology and youth development, and inject new impetus into promoting China-Brazil energy transition and poverty alleviation undertakings.
