The Center acts as a contact and exchange base, with the mission of improving mutual understanding and enhancing exchange and cooperation between China and Latin America, developing global competency amongst the students of Tsinghua University and working closely with institutions in Chile and Latin America to promote collaboration in science and culture.

It also encourages high quality research, working as open platform for the efficient communication among Government agencies, academies and business leaders among China and Latin America countries.

It will contribute to the international influence and reputation of Tsinghua University, as well as exploring the ways of implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
