In January 2026, six University of Chile students who won the "China-Latin America Youth Responding to Global Challenges – 2025 Poverty Alleviation Challenge" traveled to China for a study tour. Dear Alumni and Friends from All Sectors,The global challenge of poverty alleviation is in urgent need of wisdom and innovation! In 2024, we witnessed the China-Latin America Youth Responding to Global Challenges — Poverty Alleviation Challenge spark a fervent wave of poverty alleviation dialogue led by Chinese and Latin American youth in China, Brazil and Chile. Witnessed by the mutual visits of national leaders and international summits, it has become a landmark project for the win-win development of China and Latin America. In 2025, the challenge expanded to four countries: China, Brazil, Chile and Peru, attracting the participation of over 310 teachers and students from 27 universities and enterprises, and receiving support from embassies of China and multiple Latin American countries as well as renowned enterprises.
