I was fortunate to be a member of the Sueños Resplandecientes (Spanish, means Shining Dreams) Team and participate in the "China-Latin American Youth Responding to Global Challenges — 2025 Poverty Alleviation Challenge", ultimately winning the Gold Award. This journey was not only a precious cross - cultural collaboration practice but also enabled me to deeply understand the profound meaning of "mutual learning of experiences and technology - enabled empowerment" in the global poverty alleviation cause.
The event itself integrated professional depth with humanistic warmth. From the precise cross - university team - building to the in - depth analysis of poverty alleviation cases in Latin America, it not only built a bridge for dialogue between Chinese and Chilean youth but also provided us with a real and profound platform for experience exchange and co - creation.
Under the guidance of Professor Cai Linning throughout the process, our five - member team, composed of two partners from the University of Chile, focused on the core challenge of water scarcity in northern Chile and spent several weeks formulating solutions. We combined the water - saving wisdom of China's "Mother Water Cellar" with local realities and innovatively proposed a "distributed collection + centralized treatment" system integrating new energy and AI technologies. This process was not only a solid application of engineering management knowledge but also a vivid lesson in cross - cultural understanding and collaborative practice. We learned how to make experiences cross national boundaries and achieve a warm and implementable local transformation.
What was most unforgettable was the night before the final. The team sat around and polished our plan all night. We repeatedly deliberated on the technical logic and optimized our presentation. We supported each other in fatigue and reached a consensus through debates. At that moment, I deeply realized that behind an ideal plan were trust, sweat, and the belief of working towards a common goal. During the final defense, we clearly elaborated on the value and feasibility of our plan. This Gold Award not only recognized our technological innovation but also strongly affirmed the cross - border collaboration model and the action - taking ability of young people.
Looking back on the whole process, I sincerely thank the platform built by the Latin America Center and the careful guidance of Professor Cai Linning. This experience has made me more convinced that the younger generation can use professionalism as a bridge and collaboration as a path, and with our own glimmers of light, contribute a solid force to the global poverty alleviation and development cause.

在蔡临宁老师的全程指导下，我们与两位智利大学的伙伴组成五人团队，聚焦智利北部水资源匮乏这一核心挑战，展开了数周的方案攻坚。我们将中国“母亲水窖”的节水智慧与当地实际相结合，创新性地提出了融合新能源与AI技术的“分布式收集+集中式处理”系统。这个过程，既是对工程管理知识的扎实运用，更是一堂生动的跨文化理解与协作实践课——我们学习如何让经验跨越国界，实现有温度、可落地的本土化转型。
最难忘的是决赛前夜，团队围坐一同通宵打磨。我们反复推敲技术逻辑、优化呈现表达，在疲惫中彼此支撑，在争论中凝聚共识。那一刻我深切体会到，一个理想方案的背后，是信任、汗水与共同奔赴的信念。最终答辩时，我们清晰阐述了方案的价值与可行性，而这份金奖，不仅是对技术创新的认可，更是对跨界协作模式与青年行动力的有力肯定。
回顾全程，我由衷感谢拉美中心搭建的这一平台，以及蔡临宁老师的悉心指点。这段经历让我更加确信：青年一代能够以专业为桥，以协作为路，用自己的微光，为全球减贫与发展事业贡献一份坚实的力量。
