The Agrobambas project was initiated by the LLaqta Team. It focuses on the structural poverty issues in the rural community of Sacsahuillca, Mariscal Castilla Province, Apurímac Region, Peru. This poverty is characterized by inter - generational transmission and systematic nature. 90% of the local residents communicate in bilingual (Quechua and Spanish), and 89% of them rely on agriculture and animal husbandry as their main sources of income. However, they face difficulties such as low agricultural output, thin profit margins, limited market connections, and a lack of financial resources. Historical land reforms, internal armed conflicts, and the COVID - 19 pandemic have further exacerbated poverty. Centered around “poverty reduction through educational empowerment”, the project addresses these difficulties through three key measures. Firstly, it develops a multilingual agricultural application that provides micro - courses on agricultural techniques, financial education, and association collaboration. The application supports both online and offline use, encouraging farmers to enhance their production and marketing capabilities. Secondly, it builds a supply - demand matching platform to help agricultural products accurately reach the market. Thirdly, it expands new products and market channels, improving the value chain of agricultural products such as garlic. At the same time, the project engages multiple stakeholders including the Peruvian government, enterprises, relevant Chinese institutions, and local development associations, integrating resources such as technology transfer, financial support, and technical training to form a joint force for poverty reduction.
