On the evening of May 14, 2026, Beijing time, the "Exploring Latin America and the Caribbean Countries" Workshop invited Professor Cui Shoujun, Professor at the School of International Studies, Director of the Institute of International Development, and Director of the Latin America Research Center at Renmin University of China, to deliver a lecture on the theme "U.S.-Latin America Relations and Their Impact on Latin America" at the Jianhua Building, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. This lecture systematically reviewed the development history of U.S.-Latin America relations and China-Latin America relations. It also analyzed the profound impact of these relations on the politics, economy, and international development landscape of Latin America in the context of the current international situation, deepening the students' understanding of development issues in the Latin American region.

The lecture was presided over by the course's Responsible Professor, Professor Chen Taotao, who is a Professor of Finance at the School of Economics and Management, Director of the Tsinghua University Latin America Center, and Director of the China-Latin America Management Research Center at Tsinghua SEM. The event attracted more than 60 teachers and students both online and offline to listen to the lecture.

During the discussion and Q&A session, students enthusiastically raised questions on topics such as the development trends of China-Latin America relations, the impact of changes in U.S. policies towards Latin America, and the future development paths of Latin American countries, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. At the conclusion of the lecture, the teachers and students present once again expressed a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to Professor Cui Shoujun for his visit and the wonderful insights he shared.
