On the morning of December 1, 2025, Chile time, Professor Chen Taotao, Director of the Tsinghua University Latin America Center, led a delegation to visit CGE (Chilean Electric Power Company) and held discussions with Mr. Dai Yan, Chairman of the company. The meeting focused on deepening cooperation for the "China-Latin American Youth Responding to Global Challenges: Poverty Alleviation Challenge" initiative. Also present at the meeting were Mr. Fang Wei, Deputy CEO of CGE, and Mr. Dai Tiantian, Deputy Director of the General Management Department. Accompanying Professor Chen were Liang Min, staff member of the Tsinghua University Latin America Center's Chile Office, as well as Rong Yu, a postdoctoral researcher, and Feng Jian and Qiao Ziyi, PhD candidates from the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management.
During the discussions, Professor Chen Taotao first expressed sincere gratitude to CGE for its support of the "China-Latin American Youth Responding to Global Challenges: Poverty Alleviation Challenge" initiative. Both parties highly affirmed the value of their collaboration, jointly reviewed the fruitful outcomes and highlights of the "2025 Poverty Alleviation Challenge," and engaged in in-depth discussions on the future development of the initiative, laying a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation.
Moving forward, the Tsinghua University Latin America Center and CGE will continue to join hands, leveraging the power of youth as a bridge, to contribute more wisdom and strength to building a China-Latin America community with a shared future.
