Tsinghua "iCulture" Series of Activities of Big Differences of the World - Chile

Tsinghua University Latin America Center and Center for Global Competence Development at Tsinghua University(CGCD) will jointly launch the activity of"Big Differences of the World - Chile" from 10 March to 30 March. Four activities with different themes will be organized, which presented the remotest country of the world - Chile -to the students.


I 10 March - Lecture about Chile's history and culture

II 18 March- Lecture about Chile's economy and politics

We will invite prof. Li Ziying,vicedirector of the Academy of Regional and Global Governance and vicedirector of the faculty of Hispanic and Portuguese Studies, Beijing Foreign Studies University,to give these two lectures.

III 24 March- Experience sharing about living in Chile

For the third activity, we will invite Sun Xintang,professor at Beijing Language and Culture University, visiting professor at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Chile, and who has been living in Chile for many years, and Qin Quan,a Tsinghua alumni, to share their personal experiences about living in Chile.

IV 30 March- Watch a Chilean movie and share ideas

We will recommend a famous Chilean movie named "Huntfor Neruda" to you. After watching, we willinvite Yang Bin, Ph.D. in arts, who graduated from the Media Arts and Culture Research Center of Communication University of China, to give an analysis about this movie from the perspective of expression technique.

This series of events will be held through Tencent online meeting platform.
