Introduction

In January 2019, the Center accepted the invitation of State Grid Brazil Holding Company to provide advisory work on “International Capacity- building” for it, and the consulting project was completed in early November 2019. During this period, the project team twice visited Brazil for research in March and May 2019 respectively, completed total fifty-five interviews.

After studying the experience of State Grid's investment in Brazil, we found that the key to success for State Grid's investment in Brazil includes: State Grid has accumulated certain international competitiveness in domestic advanced industries. In the early internationalization attempt, State Grid has accumulated some international talents and experience. In the process of investing in Brazil, State Grid built up the local investment capacity by adopting different localization strategies, conforming to the needs of Brazil's national development and integrating into the business atmosphere of Brazil's market.

The consulting report “SGCC’s UHV technology Going Abroad & Practice of Investment, Construction and Operation in Brazil” was completed in early November 2019 and had been submitted to SGBH, gaining their highly approval and recognition finally.
