Professor Chen Taotao, Director of Tsinghua University Latin America Center, met with Professor Ana Célia Castro, Director of School of Advanced Studies (CBAE) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and her colleagues on the morning of December 18, 2023, local time in Rio de Janeiro. Prof. Castro also serves as the deputy director of the National Institute of Science and Public Policies, Strategy and Development (INCT/PPED) in Brazil and a research fellow at the Institute for Brazil-China Studies (IBRACH).

       Both sides held discussions on topics such as student exchange, the cultivation of students' global competence, professor visits, and technology transfer. They also discussed the organization of relevant activities for major events including the 50th anniversary of of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil and the upcoming G20 next year.
