Prof. Chen began by recapping the collaboration that commenced in 2019 with the ECLAC. While both sides had planned to formalize their cooperation through a memorandum of understanding (MOU), it is regrettable that this collaboration was disrupted due to the social unrest and COVID-19 pandemic in Chile. In the past summer, four teams of Tsinghua students engaged in overseas practical experiences in Chile, with the Tsinghua SEM team visiting the ECLAC. Prof. Chen expressed appreciation for the support and expressed a desire to maintain and build upon the collaboration between the two parties.
Mr. Marco expressed great interest in continuing the collaboration with Tsinghua University and had a fruitful exchange with Prof. Chen on topics of interest to the ECLAC, such as industry policy research and digital economic transformation. Furthermore, he expressed the Production, Productivity and Management Division's enthusiasm for cooperating with Tsinghua professors on research projects. They are also open to hosting Tsinghua graduate students for internships at the ECLAC. Additionally, both parties can organize forum events on topics of mutual interest.
