Prof. Chen Taotao, Director of Tsinghua University Latin America Center, had a meeting with Prof. Gabriel Bocksang, Dean of the UC Law School, at the school on the afternoon of November 29, Santiago time.

The meeting covered the collaboration between the UC Law School and the School of Law, Tsinghua University in recent years, encompassing the signing of an MOU, exchange visits by professors, and mutual participation in academic conferences. Regrettably, this positive exchange had to be put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Prof. Chen Taotao's visit to UC Chile on behalf of Tsinghua University is an effort to reestablish the previous friendship and cooperation, and to expand the scope of collaboration into new areas.
Dean Bocksang expressed a desire to partner with influential figures in the legal field in China, with a shared commitment to building a bridge of mutual understanding and communication. The professors in attendance from the Chilean side also put forth their desire to collaborate and explore potential partnerships with professors from the School of Law, Tsinghua University, specifically in areas such as technology regulation, data protection, and international investment law.
