Over the past few years, China-Latin American cooperation has been steadily advancing in a good manner and stepping towards new heights thanks to bilateral efforts in constructing a community, with a shared future and making strides towards increasingly extensive cooperation - one that is moving year by year beyond its traditional scope and towards deeper forms of collaboration.
The China-Chile Global Conversation (CCGC) was thus initiated with support from the Centre for Global Competency Development and the Office of International Affairs at Tsinghua University and is co-organized by the Association of Student International Communication and students from Pontifical Catholic University of Chile with the aim of furthering exchanges between Chinese and Chilean students.
Over the span of five weeks, 86 students from both countries gathered online, exchanging thoughts and ideas in workshops based on an array of themes such as general introduction, visual media, the performing arts, and traditional culture. The discourse was brought to life by the steady stream of enthusiasm from the youth of both countries, with each of them contributing to the cause of cross-cultural friendship and cooperation.
