Abstract：For a long time, the United States has been the most important destination of foreign direct investment in the world. The location advantages and good investment environment of the United States are the basic reasons for attracting Chinese enterprises to invest in the United States. This is not only reflected in its huge mature market and the world's leading high-tech R&D and application strength, but also in its stable and friendly investment environment. After the financial crisis, the United States adjusted its economic structure and industrial layout. Both Obama and Trump took revitalizing the manufacturing industry as the top priority of the government and introduced a series of preferential measures to attract the return of multinational companies and encourage the inflow of foreign investment. Over the past decades of reform and opening up, Chinese enterprises have grown up in the fierce competition in domestic and international markets, accumulated certain capabilities in foreign investment, made achievements in investment in the United States, especially in mergers and acquisitions.
