A comparative research on the outward foreign direct investment between the developed countries and developing countries based on the semi-conductor industry

Abstract:In order to explore the similarities and differences about the formation mechanism of foreign investment capacity between enterprises in emerging developing countries and developed countries, this paper selects the semiconductor industry with the typical characteristics of technology promotion and vertical division of labor, and comparatively analyzes the sources of foreign investment capacity and the grasp of industrial development opportunities of NEC of Japan and TSMC of Taiwan, The formation of enterprises' foreign investment ability is the result of the joint action of external environment and internal conditions of their industries. However, the specific differences of environment and conditions will cause differences in entry mode, technological development, market opportunities, etc.
