01 Conclusion of Preliminary Round

Since the launch of the preliminary stage, the China-Latin America Youth Responding to Global Challenges – 2026 Poverty Alleviation Challenge has received enthusiastic responses from youth across China and Latin America. Grounded in real-world communities and development issues, the participating teams have submitted a series of solutions characterized by strong problem awareness, innovation, and practical value. These submissions focus on key areas such as poverty reduction, education, healthcare, agriculture and food security, the circular economy, infrastructure, public governance, financial inclusion, and industrial collaboration.

After all project materials were submitted, the International Working Group organized the preliminary review. The judging panel, composed of experts from Chinese and Latin American universities and relevant fields, conducted fair and thorough evaluations. The Working Group then consolidated and verified the scoring results, team information, member composition, cross-national bonus status, and institutional challenge-topic records.

Based on this process, twelve teams have advanced to the final stage and will proceed to project refinement, mentoring, and final presentations.

The International Working Group will provide further written notice regarding team confirmation, schedules, mentoring, travel preparation, funding, reimbursement requirements, final-round locations, and award arrangements. All teams are encouraged to monitor official communication channels and keep contact information up to date.

The International Working Group sincerely thanks all participating teams for their dedication and efforts. We encourage the finalist teams to continue refining their proposals, and warmly invite all teams to stay engaged with future activities of the Challenge.
