Q1: Why did you participate in the 2026 Poverty Alleviation Challenge and serve as a mentor?
Drawing on my years of industry experience, I aim to help the younger generation better understand the significance of poverty alleviation, bridge the gap between theory and practice, jointly explore sustainable development and poverty alleviation pathways suited to diverse regional contexts, and contribute my modest efforts to building a China-Latin America community with a shared future.
Q2: How do you interpret the 'integration of learning, competition, and research' model in this edition of the event?
"The principle of 'learning from practice and applying it back,' along with the concept of 'uniting knowledge with action,' serves as fundamental truths guiding our learning and practice. The 'Integrated Learning-Competition-Research' model represents an innovative approach that deeply integrates theory with practice. By combining theoretical study, hands-on training, and the application of accumulated experience, this closed-loop system enables young professionals to clarify their goals through learning, hone their skills through competitions, and build lasting value through research. It achieves a comprehensive growth journey—from knowledge acquisition to practical application and ultimately to tangible outcomes—cultivating versatile young talents dedicated to global poverty reduction efforts."
Q3: What do you think are the three key qualities that make an outstanding Poverty Alleviation Challenge team?
Empathy: Understanding poverty and genuinely considering issues from the perspective of the people; Feasibility: Developing practical solutions viable in impoverished environments, rather than solely pursuing technological sophistication; Win-win: Collaborating with an open mindset to design solutions that balance the comprehensive interests of all parties, not merely focusing on economic considerations.
