I. Event Introduction

On March 25, 2026, Tsinghua University will hold the 5th "Ambassadors of Latin America and the Caribbean to China Gather at Tsinghua" event, themed "China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and Economic Transformation". This event will bring together 40 diplomatic envoys to China from 23 Latin American and Caribbean countries, among whom 14 ambassadors to China have confirmed their attendance. The attendees include H.E. Martin Charles, Dean of the Group of Ambassadors of Latin American and Caribbean Countries to China and Ambassador of Dominica to China, as well as ambassadors of Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile and other countries to China.

About Previous Events

In 2024, the 4th "Ambassadors of Latin America and the Caribbean to China Gather at Tsinghua" was held with the theme "China’s Overseas Investment and the Open Development of Latin America and the Caribbean", inviting diplomatic envoys from many Latin American countries to conduct in-depth exchanges with teachers and students of Tsinghua University.

II. Event Agenda

This event will invite relevant leaders of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as diplomatic envoys and representatives of Latin American and Caribbean countries to China to participate in depth. Centering on development issues of common concern to China and Latin America, a series of activities such as keynote speeches and high-end roundtable dialogues will be held to continuously deepen China-Latin America policy dialogue, experience exchange and mutual learning.

III. Volunteer Responsibilities

1. Materials and Venue

• Collect gift materials in advance and deliver them to the event venue.

• Assist in venue setup and arrangement.

2. Check-in and Guidance

• Verify participant information, be responsible for on-site check-in, distribute name tags and gifts, and guide attendees to their seats.

• After the official meeting, coordinate the transportation of participants and ambassadors back to parking spaces and see them off.

3. Media and Meeting Support

• Assist in meeting minutes taking and news coverage work.

IV. Volunteer Benefits

This volunteer recruitment is open only to current students of Tsinghua University. Some volunteers are required to participate in the pre-event preparation on the previous day.
