On the morning of December 21, 2023, local time in Rio de Janeiro, Professor Chen Taotao, Director of Tsinghua University Latin America Center, visited the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), where she met with Mauricio dos Santos Neves, Head of the Innovation and Industrial Strategy Department, Carla Reis de Souza Neto, Head of the Industrial Complex and Health Services Department, and Gabriel Lourenco Gomes, Economist at the Capital Markets, Investor Relations, and Financing Department.The two parties explored the current operations of the BNDES, initiatives to support enterprise innovation, as well as opportunities for cooperation in light of the 50th anniversary of China-Brazil diplomatic relations next year and the upcoming G20 summit in Brazil, and how to promote technological and innovative exchanges between the two countries.
