On July 22, Beijing time, at the invitation of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Professor Chen Taotao, Director of Latin America Center of Tsinghua University, participated as a speaker in the "7th China-LAC Infrastructure Forum" which was held in Macau and sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China. The theme of this year’s China-LAC Infrastructure Forum is "Upholding the Green and Innovation Principle, Promoting New Development of China-Latin America Infrastructure Cooperation."

At the same time, Professor Chen Taotao also attended the "12th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Summit Forum" co-sponsored by the China International Contractors Association and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute.

During her speech, Prof. Chen Taotao said that,in the past 10 years, Chinese companies have become more familiar with the business environment and the mechanism of infrastructure development in Latin America; Meanwhile, more projects done by Chinese companies and financial institutions has demonstrated their strong capability in infrastructure development in Latin world.She emphasized that the key to achieving new level of China-Latin America infrastructure cooperation liesin reaching consensus and pushing organizational innovation and integrated communications.

Diplomatic envoys to China from 13 Latin American and Caribbean countries, more than 600 representatives of Chinese and foreign governments, financial institutions, business associations, enterprises, as well as think tanks attended the forum.

The China-LAC Infrastructure Forum is the first professional forum for cooperation in the field of infrastructure under the framework of the China-Latin America Forum. It is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and undertaken by the China International Contractors Association and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute. Since 2015, the forum has been held every year.
