【Case】A Case of Poverty Alleviation in China: High-end Homestays Boost Poverty Eradication in Nanyu Village, Laishui County
This case mainly introduces how the China Foundation for Rural Development (formerly the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation) successfully helped Nanyu Village in Laishui County, Hebei Province shake off poverty through the practice of the "Samsung Sharing Village - Beautiful Countryside Homestay" project of high-end homestay tourism, exploring a path of rural tourism poverty alleviation with Chinese characteristics. Under the coupling of China's national policy environment and the specific conditions of Nanyu Village, and with the active promotion of the village Party committee cadres, the China Foundation for Rural Development has achieved both economic and social benefits by establishing an efficient and sustainable cooperative-based village collective governance system, introducing the professional homestay operation team "Yinju Xiangli", and providing training for villagers. As a successful practice of poverty alleviation in China, the smooth poverty eradication of Nanyu Village can offer valuable references for developing countries around the world.

【Caso】Um caso de alívio da pobreza na China: hospedagens rurais de alto padrão impulsionam a erradicação da pobreza na aldeia de Nanyu, no condado de Laishui
Este caso presenta cómo la Fundación China para el Desarrollo Rural (anteriormente Fundación China para el Alivio de la Pobreza) ayudó con éxito a la aldea de Nanyu, en el condado de Laishui, provincia de Hebei, a salir de la pobreza mediante la práctica del proyecto de turismo de alojamientos rurales de alta gama “Samsung Sharing Village - Beautiful Countryside Homestay (Hospedaje en la Hermosa Zona Rural)” , explorando un camino de alivio de la pobreza a través del turismo rural con características chinas. Bajo el acoplamiento entre el entorno de políticas nacionales de China y las condiciones específicas de la aldea de Nanyu, y con la promoción activa de los cuadros del comité del partido de la aldea, la Fundación China para el Desarrollo Rural ha logrado beneficios tanto económicos como sociales al establecer un sistema eficiente y sostenible de gobernanza colectiva en la aldea basado en cooperativas, introducir al equipo profesional de operación de alojamientos rurales “Yinju Xiangli” y brindar capacitación a los aldeanos. Como una práctica exitosa de alivio de la pobreza en China, la exitosa erradicación de la pobreza en la aldea de Nanyu puede ofrecer referencias valiosas para los países en desarrollo de todo el mundo.

Education lights up hope, and poverty alleviation must focus on fostering intellectual growth. This case mainly introduces how Compañía General de Electricidad (CGE), a subsidiary of State Grid in Chile, has brightened the academic path of impoverished students through the Illumina Project – a technical high school laboratory initiative, emerging as a beacon to break the intergenerational transmission of poverty. As a key power enterprise in Chile, CGE has always integrated social contribution into its operations. Driven by the government's tax reduction policies, it has combined poverty alleviation with its professional expertise, accurately connecting with Chile's public electrical technical high schools and collaborating seamlessly with DUOC UC, a leading local technical education institution. It has built a poverty alleviation strategy centered on equipment support and professional training, providing long-term support for vulnerable groups to receive electrical engineering education, boosting the development of technical education in Chile's power industry, breaking the poverty cycle in communities, and setting an outstanding example for Chinese enterprises in overseas poverty alleviation efforts.

【Case】Brazil Poverty Alleviation Case: State Grid Brazil Holding's Juice Factory Transforms Livelihoods
This case focuses on the poverty alleviation project designed and implemented by State Grid Brazil Holding Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SGBH) for the Maiadina Community along the route of Brazil's ultra-high voltage (UHV) transmission line during the line's construction. In strict compliance with local laws on corporate environmental liability, SGBH noticed the poverty challenges faced by the community, took the initiative to communicate with it, and designed and implemented a targeted poverty alleviation project centered on a juice factory based on local realities. In the Brazilian market, SGBH actively sought poverty alleviation partners and collaborated with multiple stakeholders including the government, banks and third-party enterprises, jointly driving the poverty alleviation process of the Maiadina Community, making important contributions to the community's sustainable development, and emerging as an outstanding example of Chinese enterprises' overseas poverty alleviation efforts.

【Caso】Caso de alivio de la pobreza en Brasil: la fábrica de jugo de State Grid Brazil Holding transforma los medios de subsistencia
Este caso se centra en el proyecto de alivio de la pobreza diseñado e implementado por State Grid Brazil Holding Ltd. (en adelante, SGBH) para la comunidad de Malhadinha, ubicada a lo largo del trazado de la línea de transmisión de ultra alta tensión (UHV) de Brasil, durante la construcción de dicha línea. En estricto cumplimiento de las leyes locales sobre responsabilidad ambiental empresarial, SGBH advirtió los desafíos de pobreza que enfrentaba la comunidad, tomó la iniciativa de entrar en comunicación con ella, y diseñó e implementó un proyecto focalizado de alivio de la pobreza centrado en una fábrica de jugo sobre la base de las condiciones locales. En el mercado brasileño, SGBH buscó activamente socios para el alivio de la pobreza y colaboró con múltiples actores, entre ellos el gobierno, bancos y empresas tercerizadas, impulsando conjuntamente el proceso de alivio de la pobreza en la comunidad de Malhadinha, realizando importantes contribuciones al desarrollo sostenible de la comunidad y convirtiéndose en un ejemplo destacado de los esfuerzos de las empresas chinas en el alivio de la pobreza en el exterior.
