Project Description:
This research project will systematically review studies on the essence and manifestations of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the evolutionary trajectories of CSR development in both Chinese and Western contexts, and the CSR practices of multinational corporations. Adopting perspectives such as National Differences (CAGE) and Organizational Learning, it aims to explore how Chinese enterprises can more effectively fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility during the "Going Global" process amidst significant contextual disparities. Building on this foundation, taking Chinese enterprises' investments in Latin America as a case study, the project will examine corporate practices across multiple dimensions—including community engagement and environmental stewardship—with the goal of distilling exemplary practices and transferring valuable experiences regarding CSR implementation in Latin America. Ultimately, it seeks to chart a path toward sustainable development characterized by a win-win outcome for both investing enterprises and host countries.
