In November 2006, the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University (short for SEM), the Bank of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile signed a cooperation agreement on a short-term student exchange program named"Conducting Business in Chile/China"(CBC2 project for short). It was renamed "China-Chile Immersion Experience Program"(C-MIX project for short) since 2015. The Program is strong supported by Mr. Andrónico Luksic, member of the Advisory Board of Tsinghua SEM and Chairman of the Bank of Chile, and is under the full sponsorship of the Bank of Chile.

Since it was launched in 2007, 20 teachers and students from each side have been sent to exchange visits each year. So far, more than 500 teachers and students of the two countries have participated in the Program. They listened to a series of targeted lectures by the professors of each other to understand the economy, management, culture and history of the two countries. They also visited well-known local companies, learning and experiencing the management knowledge, economic development status, actual situation of business operation, and cultural differences between the two countries.

This unique and innovative student exchange program has achieved great success in helping teachers and students of the two countries to increase their understanding of each other's country, to learn about economic management practices, and to expand their international horizons. At the same time, the Program has also effectively enhanced the understanding and contact between teachers, students, and people of the two countries. All participants in the project have also established sincere and deep cross-border friendship during the project.

At present, this short-term exchange program has very popular with teachers and students.
